This site has been prepared in support of my book The Physics of the Manhattan Project (Springer). Below are links to spreadsheets referenced in the text and to a pdf document giving the algebra of the Bohr & Wheeler derivation of Chapter 6; scroll down if need be. Click here for a pdf document that gives brief descriptions of the spreadsheets. The "Reflected Core" spreadsheet has been added after publication of the book. Special Note: My synoptic treatment of the Manhattan Project, tentatively titled "The Science and History of the Manhattan Project", is scheduled for release by Springer in late 2014. This will be a lower-undergraduate level text aimed at physics and general-science students, but will also contain extensive descriptive material that will make it suitable for interested lay readers. A tentative draft outline - subject to change - is available here.
